As an American who immigrated to the Netherlands, I combine a native speaker's mastery of the English language with an understanding of Dutch culture. I started my career more than 15 years ago in Seattle, Washington, where I worked as an editor and technical writer for firms such as Amazon.com, Deloitte and Washington State Ferries.
In 2011, I moved to the Netherlands and became an entrepreneur. As my Dutch language skills improved, my business expanded to include Dutch-to-English translation. I have worked for a number of Dutch academic and business clients, including Shell, Global Textware, HAN University of Applied Sciences, Maastricht University and Radboud University. I also do quite a bit of work for private clients, including book authors, professors and small businesses.
My passion for words extends to my personal life, where I am a voracious reader of novels and non-fiction about urban issues and foreign cultures. I also love to travel, cook and play complicated board games.
